About Cas
Hi – I’m Cas Summers… I’ve been fly fishing almost my entire life, but my wife rekindled my interest in the sport 18 years ago and I haven’t spent much time off the water since.
I’m lucky to live in Central Florida, about an hour from the Mosquito Lagoon an amazing Red-Fishery, and my home waters. I’ve been lucky to fly fish in some of the best locations in the United States including:
- Boca Grande, FL
-
Islamorada & The Florida Keys
-
Stuart, FL
-
Naples, FL
-
Sebastian River, FL
-
Merritt Island, FL
-
The Luguna Madre, TX
-
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
When I’m not on the water, I’m thinking about it… I tie flies and recently won a fly tying contest on The Stuart Fly Fishing Blog.
I hope that you enjoy my ramblings and I’m always here to answer any questions that you may have about fishing in Central Florida or if you are looking for a guide in Florida, I know a few and I’m always ready to give a recommendation, you can contact me @ Cas@FloridaFishingontheFly.com

Some People Count Sheep – Fly Fisherman Count…
If you have every wondered what a Fly Fisherman counts to get to sleep, think no further. These Tarpon are making their annual migration through the Florida Keys. This video was taken at the end of May and shows hundreds of Mature Tarpon and I’d be happy to have any of them hook up on the end of my line.
